Complicated. Long. Conflicting. Outdated. Contradictory. When it comes to the Bible, you've probably heard all that and more. That's because, for many, the Bible just seems to cause more confusion than clarity. Middle school and high school is a great time for students to ask questions, express doubts, and wrestle with what they believe in order to develop a personal faith. And maybe nothing brings up more of these types of faith questions than the Bible. What is it? How does it work? And why does everybody say it's helpful when it doesn't always feel that way? That's why, in this series we'll take a closer look at the documents that make up the Bible, why we trust them, how we use them and why we believe they can be trusted. In other words, we are talking about the Bible...explained.

Students, here's a reading plan that goes along with this series.

September 2 - The point of the Bible is to know God better.

September 9 - Context creates clarity.

September 16 - When it comes to the Bible,

we read it because God is in it.

September 23 - The Bible brings things to light.

Are you curious about Jesus? Do you want to know more about who He is and what He was all about?

Here's a few resources to help you learn and grow spiritually:

  • MEET JESUS in 30 days

Looking for an easy reading plan to help introduce you to Jesus? Here's 30 days worth of light reading that will give you a glimpse into who Jesus is, why He came to this earth, how He treated people, and what He has done for you.

  • The gospels in 30 days

The first four books of the New Testament make up a section of the Bible called, "The Gospels." The Gospels are four different, yet similar, perspectives that document the life of Jesus and his closest followers. This reading plan will allow you to immerse yourself into what Jesus did during His time on Earth.

  • The new testament in 30 days

The New Testament tells the story of Jesus, his closest followers, and also documents the start of what we call the church. In this reading plan you can see for yourself how Jesus awakened a movement in the world that we are still a part of today.
