Family matters - a series about family

Is there anything more complicated than family? Whether your students are dealing with changes, fights, fractures, or more, navigating family matters is no easy feat for them. And for many high schoolers, the temptation is to give up. To check out. To say, "in a few years (or months), I'll be out of here anyway." But as leaders, we know family doesn't stop affecting us when we leave high school. For the rest of our lives, family matters. And maybe that's why Scripture has so much to say about it! In this series, we'll talk about life with every family from picture perfect to totally fractured. And as we do, students will discover no matter what your family looks like...family matters.

October 28: When it comes to your faith and your family, love matters most.

November 4: Your family matters even though it's fractured.

November 11: When your family changes, your mindset matters.

November 18: It matters to have more people than your family.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS - A series about Christmas

Who doesn't love Christmas lights? They just have a way of making the holiday season feel a little bit brighter. That's why in this series, we're going to point your students to the brightest spot of the Christmas season--the light that Jesus brought to the world thousands of years ago. And they look back to that first Christmas, they'll see it's a light that not only illuminates more of who God is, but it's one that invites them to come close and see it themselves.

December 2nd - 'Let It Glow' Christmas Party

December 9th - God is with us.

December 16th - Go see for yourself.

Are you curious about Jesus? Do you want to know more about who He is and what He was all about?

Here's a few resources to help you learn and grow spiritually:

  • MEET JESUS in 30 days

Looking for an easy reading plan to help introduce you to Jesus? Here's 30 days worth of light reading that will give you a glimpse into who Jesus is, why He came to this earth, how He treated people, and what He has done for you.

  • The gospels in 30 days

The first four books of the New Testament make up a section of the Bible called, "The Gospels." The Gospels are four different, yet similar, perspectives that document the life of Jesus and his closest followers. This reading plan will allow you to immerse yourself into what Jesus did during His time on Earth.

  • The new testament in 30 days

The New Testament tells the story of Jesus, his closest followers, and also documents the start of what we call the church. In this reading plan you can see for yourself how Jesus awakened a movement in the world that we are still a part of today.
