Thank you to our incredible VBS 2024 volunteers for giving of your time to make Jesus known!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

2024 MEETING NOTES

PURPOSE OF VBS:

  • Connect with kids and make memories
  • Have fun and build relationships with kids
  • Partner with parents and provide an on-ramp for church outreach
  • Help kids grow in their relationship with Jesus

TIMES AND PLACES:

  • Volunteers: arrive by 5 PM Sunday, 5:15 PM Monday - Wednesday.
  • 4/5 Year Old volunteers will meet in the clubhouse right near 4/5 Year Old Check-In
  • K-6th Grade volunteers will meet in the Green Room.
  • Check-in doors open at 5:30 PM (Sunday) or 5:45 PM (Monday-Wednesday)
  • The check-in process will look similar to Sunday mornings! EVERYONE must check in: volunteers and attendees.
  • Small group leaders: Stay in your seats or door until the kids arrive, then mark off rolls and have a leader on each end of the row!

SAFETY:

  • Wear a name tag, NorthField "Green" shirt, Orange "NF Kids" shirt, or VBS shirt each night! It's essential to know who is supposed to be on campus.
    • If you do not have any of these or purchased a VBS shirt, they will be available Sunday morning in the NF Kids hall or Sunday night at the "Im In" station.
  • Background checks are required for all volunteers - if you received one, please fill it out immediately.
  • Do not be alone with any kids at any point throughout the week. If you need to assist in the bathroom or visit the sensory room, ask a floater or someone from our safety response team to wait in the doorway.
  • At Check-In and Pick-Up, our top priority is to have name tags match parents' tags. Please make sure every kid has a name tag.
    • Kids with a name tag also helps you know their names quicker!
  • In an emergency, follow instructions from staff or the safety response team!
  • If you experience ANY behavioral issues, please notify the NF Kids team immediately! You are here to have fun.

WORSHIP:

  • Encourage kids to participate and have fun
  • Small group leaders significantly influence kids, so please lead by example!
