A WARM WELCOME INTO NORTHFIELD KIDS

We are excited to welcome you to NFKids. We strive to make every experience the best possible for kids and their grownups. Our goal is to get your kid(s) checked in quicky so that you will be able to be fully engaged in the service in our auditorium.

NF KIDS CHECK-IN

As you and your child arrive at our NFKids first time guest check in, you will be greeted by a member of our NorthField Kids team. To help you (and your kids!) recognize those who serve in NFKids simply look for any adult wearing our Orange NFKids tee shirt. Our volunteer will provide you with a family registration card to fill out, you will receive a name tag for your child, a NFKids bag tag if you have a diaper bag or backpack that will stay with your kid and a corresponding security tag for yourself.  Whew! Maybe this sounds like a lot but don’t worry-one of our friendly Check In Team volunteers will help you. After you have completed the form and have all the tags, a volunteer will walk with you to the classroom(s).  Be sure to ask any questions you might have as you take the tour on the way to class. We are here to help and make sure you feel the love of people!

We ask that you help us to serve you and your family best by alerting our Check In volunteer and classroom volunteer of any information that will help in caring for your child, such as allergies or special needs. Snacks are not served but often we use items in crafts or activities that might be an allergen. Thank you for helping us make sure your kid is safe!

WHERE TO GO AFTER CHECK-IN

Your child’s age-appropriate classroom name can be found on their name tag. A NFKids volunteer will meet you at the door to welcome your child, receive your child’s diaper bag and any other necessary items.  Please inform volunteers of any specific instructions you may have for your child.

Wondering what to bring with you?  We suggest a diaper bag with the necessary items to care for your baby or toddler.  Kids who are toilet training and have recently been trained will want to bring a change of clothes just in case of an accident. We want to ensure all the items are returned after service. Please help us by labeling all personal items with your child’s first and last name before arriving. The NFKids bag tag (luggage style tag) with the NFkids logo that we provided is one that you are encouraged to use each time you check your kid into class to help us identify your kid’s bag.

DROP OFF & ENJOY SERVICE

After you have completed the Check-In process & taken your child to his or her room, wave a quick good-bye & head into the adult worship service. We have found that most kids settle in their room very quickly. For some kids it is common to cry or show signs of nervousness when a parent leaves. Our leaders will immediately engage your child in a toy or activity and reassure your child that you will return soon. If your child cries for more than 10 minutes and can’t be consoled, we will page you via text to the number you provided on your registration page.  Please help us to be able to connect with you by letting one of our staff or check in volunteers know if you get a new number.

Your child’s safety is our top priority. When picking up your child, please return to the appropriate room and present your security tag to the NFKids volunteer at the door. The tag will be matched to your child’s name tag before he/she will be released into your care. If a tag becomes misplaced a staff member or check in volunteer is available to re-print a security tag at the check in station.

THE CHURCH + HOME = GREATER IMPACT

You can be a big influence on those who influence the next generation. Sundays are important, and we love Sundays, but every day of the week matters.
