About The green bag program

The Sumner Center's Green Bag program helps to provide food for the food pantry. The food pantry in The Sumner Center is used to pack food boxes for those housed and food bags for those who are unhoused. Both of these are given out to people in the greater Gallatin community. We seek to fill the need of providing quality food both with high nutritive value and stable shelf-life to meet the needs of any living situation.

The Sumner Center relies on donations from individuals to fill each food bag. Want to donate a food bag? Grab one from the lobby on Sunday morning, then follow the steps below:

1. Fill your bag with any or all of the items from the current needs list below.

2. Return your filled bag at a drop off station at NorthField Church on Sundays or at the church office Mon-Thur, 9am-4pm.

3. Pick up a new bag to fill and repeat!
