    1) Tell us a little bit about yourself:

I was born in Chicago Illinois but raised in Decherd, Tennessee. After college I married this cute girl, Lynda, I met on a mission trip. We immediately hopped on a plane and headed to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where we worked with teens for two years.

God has blessed us with two awesome kids. Our son Aaron is married to a beautiful girl, Kristin, and our daughter Alena is studying at Lipscomb University.

Before working with NorthField, I was the controller of Hermitage Explosives Corporation. For 21 years I got to watch and be a part of blowing things up – every guy's dream! Besides working for a church it was possibly the best job ever.

For the last six years I have poured my heart and soul into NorthField Church. I have sought to help build a different kind of church; a church who believes that God wants the best for us – so He gave the best to us. A church who loves people regardless of what they believe and a church who longs to love each other with the same kind of love our heavenly Father has for us.

    2) What excites you most about the future of NorthField Church?

What I love most about NorthField Church are the people who call NorthField home! They…we…love people! Growing up it seemed that most churches were known for what they were against. If anyone was messed up, they hid it. NorthField is a very loving family, and although we are imperfect we love and support each other in the best and through the worst of times! Whatever struggle a person may face, there is someone at NorthField who can say, ‘me too!’ I happen to think that Jesus was ‘for’ people, and that’s a message at the core of who NorthField is. We are FOR people and that excites me!

    3) What is your favorite moment of scripture?

I have so many but two stand out. I love surprises! Sometimes the best surprises can happen on the worst of days. That was resurrection Sunday. One of Jesus' friends, Mary, had gone to the tomb to anoint the body of Jesus properly. She loved Jesus and her world came to a crashing halt when he died. I imagine she had trouble sleeping so early Sunday morning, just before the sun came up, Mary came to Jesus' tomb. She found it empty and immediately thought someone had stolen his body. As she stood at the door to the tomb crying, Jesus approached her from behind and called her by name! What a moment! She instantly knew who it was and turned to throw her arms around his neck. She wouldn’t let go! In an instant, everything she feared was gone. Jesus had given her the biggest surprise ever and showed her…and me…that the dark days are never the last days!

My other favorite moment in scripture is when Jesus calmed the storm. The disciples of Jesus are in one bad storm. The waves are about to sink their ship but Jesus is sleeping. They wake him up and at the sound of his voice the winds stop and the waves calm. All of us face storms in life. The winds blow and the waves come but I love having this relationship with the wind stopper and the wave calmer!

    4) Give us some of your favorites:

Snow…snow…snow – I love snow! A perfect winter day would have started the night before with a room at the base of Squaw Valley Ski Resort in the Sierra Nevada’s; two feet of fresh powder and standing with 200 other folks trying to get the first chair up K2! My favorite memories are sharing those moments with my two kids! That feeling of standing at the top of the mountain, untouched snow in front of me and the thrill of going over the edge of a double black diamond run! Lunch would have me grabbing a sandwich from the local deli, riding to 8,000 feet, backpacking up to Granite Chief and looking out over the snow covered trees and mountain peaks. It’s God and I, picnicking together!

Besides snow, I have learned to love running! What started with a charity run in 2014 has grown into a half marathon and now two full marathons on the calendar! I love running with friends and I love those mornings when I’m running alone, ear buds tuned Hillsong music, just praying, talking and listening for my Heavenly Father to speak! It sounds crazy but I’ll start talking to God and before I know it several miles have passed and inside my head…I hear his voice and feel his presence!

My favorite movie is the Lion King! For me, a line from one of the songs makes the movie. “He lives in you…He Lives in me. He watches over everything we see”! On the lighter side, I love Timon’s Hakuna Matata…It means no worries for the rest of your days!

I am a huge…HUGE Survivor and Amazing Race fan! It would be amazing to actually be on one them! If you listen to any of my messages long enough you will quickly find out that I am also a huge Judge Judy fan. It's how I end most of my days, however I do not actually want to be on her show!

    1) Tell us a little bit about yourself:

I have been a Nashville native for nearly all of my life, and I can say with confidence that I love my city. I got married in September 2015 to the love of my life, Haley, and it is my greatest joy to have the opportunity to work alongside her in the local church.

    2) What excites you most about the future of NorthField Church

My hope for NorthField Church is that we don’t just become another church in Sumner County, but we become a place that people know and love because of the way that NorthField has loved them. It excites me to think about being a church that has the potential to impact the next generation of Jesus followers.

    3) What is your favorite moment of Scripture?

Revelation 21:1-5, “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.’ And he who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’

THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

    1) Tell us a little bit about yourself:

I grew up here in Nashville and met my husband at Hermitage Church of Christ in the 9th Grade. We were married September of 2015 and its a blessing to work along side him here at NorthField. We have one baby, a tabby cat by the name of Otis. I studied Child and Family Studies at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, graduating class of 2015. I grew a passion for His Kingdom junior year of high school while traveling to Honduras for missions and have been all in ever since. There is no greater feeling than the Lord working through His people.

    2) What excites you most about the future of NorthField Church?

What excites me most about NorthField's future is the people and their eagerness to go and make Jesus known.

    3) What is your favorite moment of Scripture?

Exodus 33:11 - "Then the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend."

I love this because it shows the intimacy that takes place between God and man. God desires to be with His children more than anything, and I love that we are able to approach him out of love and relationship.

    1) Tell us a little about yourself

I grew up on a farm in Mt. Juliet...but, decided I wanted to try out the big city life and went to college at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.  After graduating, I decided that I missed my small town roots and came back home to middle Tennessee - the greatest place to live in the whole world!  I married my husband, Britton, and moved to another farm in Castalian Springs, where we live out our own version of the show, "Green Acres."  Along with our cows, chickens, goats, pigs, cats, and dogs, we have 3 amazing (and very different) children (who happen to be teenagers) - Luke, Cole, and Ellie.  With three teenagers, there is never a dull moment.  They truly make life an adventure!  They keep this mama busy and on my toes - I love them BIG and thank God for each one of them with all of my heart!!!

    2) What excites you most about the future of NorthField Church?

The mission of this church is what excites me most.  To Love God. Love People. & Make Jesus Known.  I feel blessed to have the opportunity daily to share Jesus and spread his love in this growing community.

    3) What is your favorite moment of Scripture?

My favorite moment in Scripture is the birth of Jesus.  What an awesome story...the beginning of the greatest story ever told...the true beginning of HOPE & LOVE!  It is so easy for me to identify the most precious moments in my life - hands down, it was the birth of my three children and the deep love I immediately felt for each of them.  I get chills when I think of Mary and how she must have felt when she gave birth to that precious child who would bring hope and love to a messed up world.

    4) Give us some of your favorites

Favorite Sports Teams: Any teams my kids are on!  (BTW - I may get a little loud when I cheer for them.)

Favorite Food:  Mexican - I could eat it all day - everyday.

Favorite Books: I love suspense & psychological thrillers!!!

    1) Tell us about yourself:

I was raised in Sumner County and graduated from Hendersonville High School. Go Commandos!! After high school, I went to Lipscomb University where I completed my B.A. in Bible and History and stayed to complete an M.A. in Biblical Studies. I, then, moved to Texas where I finished my graduate work by completing a M.Div. Leaving Texas, I began ministry in Indiana and spent the next 11 years working in ministry to college students in Indiana and Texas at both Purdue University and the University of North Texas. At that point, I decided it was time to come home. God blessed me with the opportunity to preach for the next 5 years at Station Camp Church in Gallatin, TN. I came on board at Northfield Church around Easter 2017, and I am excited to see how my story will fit into God’s story here at Northfield. My greatest joy is helping people discover how their story can fit into the larger story of God and His people!

    2) What excites you most about the future of NorthField:

I am very excited to see what God will do through Northfield to impact the community. The church is here to benefit this area, not to judge it, or stand against. We desire nothing more than to show God’s love, and to demonstrate what life looks like when we surrender to God's design for us! So I am very excited to see how that will change things in this area. My sincere desire is that, by focusing on Jesus and Jesus alone, we can overcome this obstacle and create a revival of faith in the area that focuses on Jesus alone and his design for us!

    3) What is your favorite moment of Scripture?

This is a hard one. I like so many different moments in Scripture! Some are hilarious and other moments are more instructive, but they are all profound and full of meaning! I guess if I have too choose one moment, I might choose the moment Nicodemus takes Jesus off of the cross in John 19. The story of Nicodemus reminds me of myself: he originally comes to Jesus at night full of questions and doubts in John 3 and leaves unconvinced;  he is then seen at the end of John 7 half-heartedly defending Jesus to his fellow Jewish leaders; but, finally, you see him helping Joseph take Jesus off the cross in broad daylight. I, like Nicodemus, would say my conversion has been a long process of Jesus moving me from doubts and questions in the dark to publicly proclaiming him in the light. It is a great story for all people, like me, that slowly surrender to Jesus slowly over time!
